Frequently Asked Questions
GENERAL – About HumanX & Services
-
Each model is a one-to-one replica based on real patient data (CT/MRI) and adapted to specific training or demonstration goals. This ensures anatomical accuracy and optimal learning outcomes.
-
We serve physicians, patients, hospitals, MedTech companies, and researchers who require realistic anatomical models for training, testing, and device development.
-
Absolutely. We specialize in custom models tailored to your needs - including case-specific scenarios, selection of training and educational materials, and integration into your training and marketing facility.
-
No, HumanX does not offer medical training classes and does not have a medical training infrastructure.
-
80% of our products are manufactured in the USA in the State of Florida. The remaining 20% are provided by our partners in Europe and Asia.
FLOWBOX SYSTEM – Product Overview
-
The Flowbox is a pump system designed to simulate realistic pulsatile blood flow in vascular models for medical training, product demonstration, and simulation research.
-
Flowbox ONE: Affordable, plug-and-play model for basic training
Flowbox NEO: Mid-range version with variable stroke, app control, and heating
Flowbox NEO+: Flagship dual-pump model for advanced vascular simulations
-
No. Flowbox is a simulation system and not certified for clinical use. It is intended for training, demonstration, and research purposes only.
FLOWBOX SYSTEM - Function & Operation
-
Yes. Flowbox NEO and NEO+ include an Android tablet and app for controlling parameters and viewing real-time system data.
-
Pressure, flow rate, temperature, and device status — visualized through a display, integrated LED indicators, and App (NEO/NEO+).
-
Yes. Flowbox NEO and NEO+ allow logging and exporting data via USB or the Flowbox App.
-
All models operate with low noise levels, suitable for use in quiet training rooms or exhibition spaces.
-
Yes. All Flowbox units feature CPC connectors and are compatible with a wide range of tubing and anatomical models (6–20 mm ID depending on model).
FLOWBOX SYSTEM - Technical Insights
-
Flowbox NEO+ uses a second pump to actively simulate diastolic resistance, eliminating the need for a traditional compliance chamber in many cases.
-
Flowbox uses centrifugal pumps for their quiet operation, controllability, and suitability for generating pulsatile, physiologically realistic flow in vascular models.
-
Pressure drops are typically caused by tubing length, model resistance, or fluid viscosity. Our Tech Tuesday blog explains how to calculate and optimize system pressure.
PURCHASING & CUSTOMIZATION
-
Use the Request a Quote button on any product page or contact us directly. We’ll walk you through configuration and shipping options.
-
Yes. Side panels and covers can be branded or adapted to match your product for trade shows or integrated demonstrations.
-
If a patient-specific model is needed, then yes, the customer must provide the radiological data (CT/MRI).
However, if the model is only intended to represent a specific medical situation, we can acquire the necessary data from our network of clinical partners. The customer can, of course, also provide the CT/MRI data.
-
There is no minimum order quantity. Our modern manufacturing process allows us to produce individual products and smaller batches in-house.
-
Case-related training models are usually shipped within 48 hours.
More complex training systems and simulators are produced and shipped in coordination with the customer. The delivery time here is usually four weeks.
